We are having a lot of success getting cooperation from banks and lenders on short sales. We’ve had three short sales approved recently, all within 30 days of submitting the documents requested by the lenders. The prices that were approved were all below-market prices for the homes involved. In two of the transactions, we even got the lenders to approve incentives for the home owners to participate in the short sales. That means the sellers actually got some money back at the end of escrow. Many lenders will not allow this but we’re having good success getting this approved.
